Hydrogen drying by adsorption

Hydrogen must be dried after electrolysis because, in addition to hydrogen, moisture is also produced during electrolysis and pure hydrogen is required for many applications.

Industry/Application:

Construction and operation of adsorption dryers

Medium:

Moist hydrogen, pressure up to 46 bar (g), temperatures from -10°C to +180°C

Task:

  • Tightness inside (absolutely leak-proof)
  • Tightness outside (technically permanently tight)
  • Resistance to hydrogen embrittlement
  • Easy maintenance

Our solution / applied valve

Switching valve at the outlet: Three-piece hydrogen ball valve series DG1W
DN 8 and DN 15, sealing material PTFE glass up to +230 °C, PN 125 / PS 95,
operation: pneumatic actuator.

  • ATEX zone 0 IIC
  • Leak test acc. to EN 12266
  • PTFE-packing acc. to TA-Luft
